As an adjunct real estate instructor at Diablo Valley College in the Bay Area, Smit taught Real Estate Property Management and Real Estate Finance - both CA Dept of Real Estate certified courses. Currently Smit teaches N.A.R. Designation courses SRES, SRS, ABR AND RENE. He too has written and teaches numerous WA Continuing education classes.
